AUGUST TOUR WRAP: Pacific Northwest Nights

Coming back from our run in the Pacific Northwest, I’m feeling both exhausted and totally lit up in the best way. There’s something about that part of the country that feels like home turf — rainy skies, evergreen air, and audiences who give you everything they’ve got. Being back on the road with L7 always brings this wild mix of chaos, humor, and sisterhood, and Portland and Olympia gave us precisely the kind of shows that remind me why I keep saying yes to this life.

The Crystal Ballroom in Portland is one of those venues that feels alive. The floor literally bounces under the weight of the crowd, and when we hit those first chords, the energy ricocheted back at us like a tidal wave. It was sweaty, loud, and a little unhinged — exactly the way it should be. Then up in Olympia, playing the South Sound Block Party alongside Bratmobile was like stepping back into a punk rock time machine. Seeing Alison and the girls on stage again, with all their fire intact, was nothing short of inspiring.

Beyond the music, it was a gift to reconnect with old friends in both cities. Some of these folks I hadn’t seen in decades, yet the conversations picked up as if no time had passed at all. Those hangouts backstage and after the shows reminded me that the punk community isn’t just about the gigs — it’s about the people who’ve been in the trenches with you all along. The Pacific Northwest showed up for us, and I’m carrying that love and gratitude with me.

Up next is The Belasco in DTLA alongside Lunachicks and CSS for L7’s 40th anniversary party!

Rock n Roll Repeat T-Shirt Collaboration

I’m excited to let you know that Rock n’ Roll Repeat is opening the pre-order for a minimal run t-shirt featuring one of Pat Graham’s Rock For Choice photographs. Pat has such an incredible eye—he’s documented so much of punk and indie rock history—and this particular shot from a Washington D.C. show has always carried a lot of energy for me.

That night in D.C. remains vivid in my memory. The crowd was sweaty, loud, and completely unhinged in the best way—D.C. audiences always had this raw intensity, and it pushed us to play even harder. I remember feeling like the floor might actually give way under everyone jumping around, but that just made the whole set more electric. Having that moment captured by Pat and now brought back through this collaboration feels like a time capsule cracked open.

All orders are going through Rock n’ Roll Repeat’s webstore.

    Two Troublemakers

Two legendary troublemakers, side by side.
The Ghost Bass (Jennifer Finch’s longtime ride) and Fat Mike’s bass are both living at the Punk Rock Museum — waiting for you to come in and play ‘em, and yes, they can be plugged in and played loud by anyone who dares!

No velvet ropes. Not behind glass. No “do not touch” signs. Just pure history in your hands.

  • L7 Celebrates their 40th Anniversary in Los Angeles this October.

L7 Celebrates their 40th Anniversary in Los Angeles this October.

Forty years. That’s wild even to say out loud, let alone type. But here we are—L7 celebrating four decades of making noise together. And what better way to mark the occasion than throwing a party in our hometown of Los Angeles? On Saturday, October 3rd, we’ll be hitting The Belasco stage in DTLA alongside two bands that feel like old friends and family: New York City’s Lunachicks and Brazil’s CSS.

    GET YOUR TICKETS

It’s been a whole year since our last L.A. show—Fast and Frightening Festival last October—and we’ve been itching to get back on stage here. L.A. is where it all started for us: the DIY shows, the late nights, the sweat and grit. And playing with Lunachicks again? We haven’t shared a stage with them since the early ’90s. That’s a reunion long overdue. CSS brings a whole other energy to the night—global punk spirit with their brand of Brazilian pop-electro-rock flavor.

This isn’t just another gig—it’s a celebration of L7’s history, the bands we’ve crossed paths with, and the city that raised us.

    • 40 years strong: Celebrating four decades since L7 first formed in Los Angeles.
    • Hometown roots: First L.A. show since October’s Fast and Frightening Festival, back in DTLA where it all began.
    • Lunachicks reunion: First time sharing a bill with Lunachicks since the early 1990s—a serious full-circle moment.
    • Global connection: Welcoming CSS from Brazil, representing L7’s influence across borders and generations.
    • Community and history: Honoring L7’s place in L.A.’s punk and rock scene alongside old friends and new fans.

HUGE thanks to Pitchfork and Flood for the coverage of this event!

Expect old-school vibes, loud amps, and zero patience for sitting still. We’re showing up ready to deliver the kind of show that reminds everyone why we’ve lasted this long: guts, humor, volume, and community. We hope to see familiar faces and new ones too, all ready to throw down with us.
