2024 L7 May Daze Review

Our last tour through May 2024, “L7 May Daze Tour,” was an absolute blast, filled with unforgettable moments and incredible music. We had the pleasure of sharing the stage with our longtime friend Gina Volpe from The Lunachicks and fantastic bands like Thema and the Sleaze and Cumgirl8. Each performance was electric, and seeing so many passionate fans at every venue was amazing. We kicked things off in Atlanta, GA, at Center Stage with Cumgirl8, then rocked the “Welcome To Rockville” festival in Daytona, FL, followed by an energetic show at The Canal Club in Richmond, VA, with Gina Volpe.

Highlights included reconnecting with friends in Gwar in Richmond, fun photo sessions with CumGirl8 and Thema and the Sleaze (we expected big things from these talented women), and what will now be referred to as “the wax lips” photos with Gina Volpe. Gina is our dear friend from our sister band, “The Lunachicks.”

The journey continued with a vibrant performance at the Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte, NC, where Thema and the Sleeze joined us for an unforgettable night. We then headed up north, playing at Empire Live in Albany, NY, and Electric City in Buffalo, NY, both with Gina Volpe, bringing a powerful mix of rock and camaraderie. Our stop in Lititz, PA, at Mickey’s Black Box was special, as we shared the stage with Anthrophobia. The Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, OH, brought the tour to a thrilling conclusion, with countless other talented bands and enthusiastic fans surrounding us.

Memorable Moments: Singing with Crobot

Beyond the music, memorable encounters and collaborations filled the tour. “Welcome To Rockville” and “Sonic Temple” were highlighted for the large crowds and the chance to reconnect with old friends like Red Fang, Helmet, and Cypress Hill.

One of the most exciting moments was when I sang a song with the band Crobot, a phenomenal band from Pennsylvania, and CKY, featuring my friends Ronnie James from The Shocker, Chad I Ginsburg, and Jesse Margera. Moreover, this tour celebrated music, friendship, and our unbreakable bond with our fans and fellow musicians.

However, as always it is such a pleasure and honor to be on the stage with my bandmates, Dee Plakas, Suzi Gardner and Donita Sparks. Also to share all the excitement and even the quiet moments that can happen on those long drives, cracking each other up and telling stories.
