Hope > Optimism
Optimism is fickle, revealing itself when things are shiny and possible—when you’re already feeling good. Hope is different. Hope leans in when the world is broken and still tries anyway. It’s a commitment to possibility, even when the outcome is uncertain.
We don’t need performative positivity in the face of relentless, entrenched fascism. We need grown-up hope; the kind that fuels action. The kind that digs in, and gets dirty.
